Chagrin Valley Custom Furniture packs and ships the pieces of custom furniture that our customers buy all across the county.  We deliver, assemble and install handmade wood furniture. CVCF has contracted with UPS and numerous LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers, full truckload carriers and parcel carriers to ship and deliver the custom furniture we sell to customers in the USA.

You won’t have to borrow your neighbor’s pickup or rent a U-Haul when you purchase custom designed and custom handcrafted furniture from us. We can deliver any piece of custom furniture we build in our workshop virtually anywhere in the country. 

Existing pieces in your home that need to be refinished or painted will be picked up as well – and delivered most times at no charge within a 10-mile radius of our workshop in Bainbridge, Ohio. For existing pieces of furniture, we generally charge $50 if you are outside that radius or if it is a particularly big item that requires two people to install.

Our Crating And Shipping Process & Policy

Orders outside of the metropolitan Cleveland area may require your order to be crated and shipped. The following is our process for crating your item and arranging shipping:

The Crating Process

For each project, one of our woodworking experts will custom build a crate to perfectly cradle your item in length, width and height. Each crate is constructed from ¾ inch thick plywood and 2×4’s, with 4×4 legs underneath so the crate can be moved by a forklift. We pad the inside of each crate with foam insulation measuring ½ – ¾ inches thick to protect the project. In addition, we wrap the object in plastic pallet wrap, as well as encase it in bubble wrap to keep it from moving about in the crate.

The Shipping Process

CVCF is happy to assist in shipping your project to your location. If you prefer to arrange shipping on your own, we will work with you and your chosen methods to the extent that we can.

First, we will verify your information necessary to properly ship the item. That information typically includes:

  • The specific address for the delivery location.
  • The kind of facilities at the delivery location. (i.e. home or commercial building?)
  • If we are delivering to a commercial building, is there a loading dock?
  • What size truck clearance is available at that location?
  • Does the delivery vehicle need a lift gate?

In addition, we will provide you with information regarding the size and weight of the crate (s) to verify the piece can be moved and/or installed when removed from the truck.

We will also provide an estimate of the freight charges involved beforehand so there are no surprises.
