This piece was exciting to make, as it required us to venture into CNC engraving, a specialty rarely beckoned from our carpenters. The Greater Cleveland Science Museum wanted this piece as a dedication to Val, an employee of 25 years. We used walnut wood throughout the piece, a black steel frame, and blue epoxy to highlight the language CNC etched into the wood. We delivered this piece to their building in Cleveland, Ohio in March of 2020.
Congrats on 25 years of service to science, Val!
