Handcrafted by our veteran in-house carpenter, Ed, we are offering this one-of-a-kind decorative handmade bowls as shown. This product is handmade in Ed’s workshop, crafted from the burl of a pacific madrone tree. Burl, commonly understood as the “lumps” on the side of a tree, are coveted material for custom wood projects due to the intense natural patterns inherent in the material. Also notice the natural damage preserved in the bowl; keeping natural damage is an incredibly difficult process for any carpenter, as the bowl could easily catch on the machine while turning at the slightest touch.
Simply imagine a pacific madrone bowl like this accentuating the shelf of a beautiful rustic or minimalist home, adding the perfect quaint touch to a beautiful living room or general home décor theme. This piece can be used to hold keys, jewelry, seashells – your imagination is the limit.
This bowl is finished with tung oil and beeswax.
This product measures out to 6″tall x 7.5″wide x 1″thick.
